ARTISTS
Aditi Bhandari
I'm Aditi Bhandari, an artist and educator with a background in animation, media, and computer science. I've spent over 15 years exploring how art and technology intersect — from traditional drawing and painting to working with AI in creative storytelling. My journey has taken me from India, where I studied engineering, to San Francisco for my MFA in Animation, and now to Seattle, where I share my love for drawing with this community.

Through Seattle Art Circle, I create workshops that make art accessible and fun for everyone, no matter your experience level. I believe drawing is about learning to see — noticing proportions, light, and texture in everyday life — and translating that onto paper with curiosity and joy. My goal is to give you not just techniques, but the confidence to express yourself through your own artistic voice.

Aditi Bhandari is available for private bookings

Available most Saturdays from 10 am until 6pm.
Charcoal Portraits, pencil sketching, basic drawing & watercolours for beginners, digital artwork.

Title or Location: Inspired using multiple photos and adding a butterfly image for additional meaning.
I wanted to create an image symbolizing the beauty of diversity, unity, joy and hope. The butterfly and multicolored flowers emerging from a dark and somewhat chaotic background signals a chrysalis transformation from darkness to light that results in an appreciation for relationships and community while embracing the beauty of diversity and hope.

Title or Location: Highway 68 between Salinas and Monterey, CA
I worked as a news anchor in Salinas back in the late 1980's and lived in Monterey so would make the daily drive on Highway 68. One spring, there was this phenomenal bloom of lupines in one of the fields! I stopped to take photos of it, and all these years later, decided to paint it to capture the memory in a different format. In the years we lived there, this is the only bloom I remember seeing. Plus, the hills and the oak trees are so beautiful in the spring. Oil, 18 X 24.

I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.
